Perspective

"Reality is the leading cause of stress for those in touch with it." ~JW

People deal with stress on a daily basis, and it effects everyone differently. Some get angry, some get tired, some get emotional. It all depends on how much stress you have and who you are as a person. Thinking of things through another perspective can really open your eye's to reality though. Think of something stressful you've gone through the past week, couldn't pay a bill? failed a test? just haven't gotten enough sleep? Now think about the people who don't have a mailbox to send mail too, who were never able to be educated, and who don't have a bed to sleep in. Letting things like this sink in make you broaden your mind to what life really is, a series of struggles. Those who ignore life and what is going on around them aren't really living, you have to see things for what they really are and learn from them. Smile for all the little stuff, laugh for the small pleasures, and enjoy the time you've got because who knows when your time is up. Be thankful for the things you have and the things you are able to achieve and you will go far.

Memories

"Childhood is measured out by sounds and smells and sights, before the dark hour of reason grows"~JB

A child is naive to the world, innocent and fresh. Before long they will discover truths and reality, growing into old men and women. When most think back on their childhood years they do not remember much, but they can still remember the perspective they had when looking at certain things. I miss not knowing everyone's flaws, not having to see things for what they really are, and when my parents told me not to worry about something I would listen and go back to whatever it was I was doing without a second thought. I can remember thinking of mom and dad as superheroes; nothing was bad about them and they knew everything. I miss when my greatest worry was what color crayon I would use next for my not so perfect drawing, or what else I could use to hold up my blanket forts. Life flashes by at you in the blink of an eye and before you know it your grown up; you no longer obtain your innocence and you can no longer be that small naive child you once were. Reality is a huge blow, learning that the things and people you thought were perfect, are in fact, not. You learn of deceit and worry and you go through hardships. By facing these problems it opens your eyes to what the world truly is, and that vision is different for all of us. Your view of the world changes as your day does, each day learning something new, whether it being good or bad. I love the age I am now but I can still think back and miss fondly the way the world once seemed to me.

Tug of Life

"Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever"~KR

What do you do when you're stuck between two options, when neither of them seem right? Both have their flaws and both have the ability to make you happy... or miserable. It's not clear what each will bring you, but you can look and see that they have separate chances of being good or being terrible. The risks of one are slightly higher meaning the outcome would be worth it, more-so then that of your other option. This also means that the chances of failure are greater as well. Do you listen to others and do what they think you should? Do you listen to your heart and try and figure it out? Life is about constant decisions; and one, whether you know which one or not, will change your life forever. Life is unpredictable, but you set yourself up for whatever comes your way and you are the one who has to decide what to make of it in the end.
